Yesterday I went to Parkteateret to see Florence and the machine again. I was hoping that the small stage indoors would significantly make it a better performance than at Øya. I wasn’t wrong. It didn’t hurt matters that the audience knew better what they were coming for either.
To sum things up, it was a great concert. It was pretty much the same songs as on Øya, but they now had an acoustic part which was really great. Her voice is just in a league of itself.
Well, as I’m busy enough not to post very often – here is a bunch of new music!
Ok, so this wasn’t finished as it should have been, but I’m taking a little break and leaving for Croatia. Will update when I get back home, or online on my vacation.
This is probably the concert I’m looking forward to the most. Florence Welch is 21 and was just nominated to the Mercury award and is also the favorite for winning it. I don’t disagree. Her album Lungs which was released on the 6th of June is an amazing debut album. It’s filled with pearls, both musically and lyrically. It is very, very rare that I can actually listen to whole albums these days. But this is one of them. You should too!
I’ve included some mp3s and some YouTubes. They are all favorites!
Glasvegas should be a familiar name. I actually first heard them when I saw their songs were very popular on Spotify. Not quite my cup of tea, but they are good.
If you got a song you think I should hear, or post, send me an email with a link or the song. You can reach me at
