Florence and the machine concert

Sunday, October 11th, 2009

Yesterday I went to Parkteateret to see Florence and the machine again. I was hoping that the small stage indoors would significantly make it a better performance than at Øya. I wasn’t wrong. It didn’t hurt matters that the audience knew better what they were coming for either.

To sum things up, it was a great concert. It was pretty much the same songs as on Øya, but they now had an acoustic part which was really great. Her voice is just in a league of itself.

Ellie Goulding’s Starry Eyed is finally available!

But I’m still not sure if it was a good idea to hype the song with teasers on YouTube etc as they did, because frankly, my first impression was disappointment. It’s a good song, but the teaser part is the best part.

Well, you can decide…

is a name I’ll be watching. Check out every song on her MySpace page. If you liked Frankmusik, you won’t mind this, since they are sharing influences through common friends as I understand it. No, it’s not revolutionizing, it’s easily available electropop music, but oh so well done!

This YouTube clip is just a teaser for her next upcoming song.
